Abstract Submission Details
All abstracts must be submitted electronically via the Conference website. Helpful hints on successfully submitting abstracts are below. You will be asked to complete the presenting author’s contact details, abstract title, proposed type of presentation (oral or poster), the theme, author(s), affiliation details and brief biographical details of the presenting author. If submitting more than one abstract, each abstract should be submitted under the name of the presenting author. You will have the choice of submitting an abstract for either: After certifying that all authors have agreed to the submission of the abstract/s, you will then continue to the Upload Abstract page. Please ensure that your abstract is finalised and has been prepared in accordance with the abstract preparation requirements. The presenting author must check the acknowledgement of terms and conditions box when registering and submitting the abstract. Contributed papers will be strictly limited to a maximum of fifteen minutes followed by a short time for discussion (TBC). Whether your submission is accepted as an oral presentation or poster display will depend on the quality of the abstract. The abstract must conform to the requirements outlined below to be considered for acceptance. Please note that abstracts not selected for oral presentations may alternatively be offered poster presentations. *The scientific committee reserves the right to make final decisions on acceptance for all presentations following submission and reviews of the full papers. Submissions which do not conform will be excluded from consideration. Abstracts sent by fax will not be accepted. 1. Abstracts should describe work which has not been presented at a previous PRCC National Conference. If this work has been published or presented already, please provide details. This is not necessarily a criterion for exclusion. At least one author from the proposed paper will be required to register to attend the Conference to present the work, otherwise the paper will not be included in the conference proceedings. 2. Each abstract must be submitted online . A maximum of 300 words excluding title will be accepted. All submissions must be Microsoft Word. No other formats will be accepted. Please click here for the abstract template. 3. The abstract should be arranged in a logical order and be informative. For technical research abstracts, the following is expected: Aim – a one sentence statement of the study’s specific objective, unless given in the title. Methods – a brief statement of the method, if pertinent. Results – a summary of the results obtained. Conclusion – a statement of the key findings. It is not generally satisfactory to state ‘the result will be discussed’, although abstracts with preliminary results, or final results available prior to May, will be considered. For policy implementation challenge discussion paper abstracts, alternative formats are acceptable. Please outline in your abstract the argumentation you plan to use in your presentation. Abstract acceptance will be based on the coherence and pertinence of these arguments. 4. The presenting author must check the acknowledgement of terms and conditions box when registering and submitting the abstract.
